October Ritual-Whitetail Deer

Bow hunting near home in the early rut often finds me watching over the scrape lines. When bucks come to freshen these scrapes they will also mark an overhanging branch. This puts them in a very vulnerable position and has allowed me to take two bucks in the last two years in this exact pose. More than enough good reference for a painting.
